Word of Encouragement: Being Confident What God Has Called You to Do

You may not always feel confident in what you are supposed to do, but when you know that God has called you to be a leader it can help you not be so consumed with gaining your confidence from people's approval.

Being a leader or influencer means that you don’t follow the crowds or what others are doing. You stand confident amid others going the opposite direction in what you have been called to stand for. Influencing others means that you are firm in your convictions and your beliefs, and are not easily swayed by the opinions of others.

You are true to what you are supposed to be doing, and not easily entangled in what others may want you to do. You stand strong in your convictions because you know they are there from the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Don’t look to the right or left of you to determine your course, but forge straight ahead even if it appears everyone else is going in a different direction.

Being confident in what God has called you to do means that you know that you are set apart, and that does not always mean doing what everyone else is doing. A leader leads, and a follower follows. You have to know if you have been called to lead or to follow.

If you have been called to lead then you have to get comfortable that you may not always do what everyone is doing. Maybe God is calling you “to come out from among them.”
